aMoment

It rained all day that day. Sheets of wetness drowned colour as faded people rushed through the streets under canopy of black umbrella. I watched from the fishbowl of my workspace, my mind not on work but on her, as usual. Her mouth, her touch, her passionate nature…her love for me…my love for her. And grew frustrated that the dream had moved so far out of reach. I knew we had done the right thing but I couldn’t fight the feeling of pervasive loneliness and being pissed off that the universe had let two of its brightest stars collide and burn themselves out.
