Sonnet: True To Self

In times of questioning and adversity

We must seek out propriety

In the underbelly of the perversity

That has gripped our swollen society

Away from the blurred line of the lewd

Past the crassness of crudity

Beyond the abruptness of the rude

Lies the truth, clear in its nudity

We must never become compliant

When there is much to lose or gain

We must be in our quest, defiant

Choice is ours to claim

Hope is blossoming in paradise

Of your self and your truth, never sacrifice
